Pasta:

  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne, rigatoni, or rotini)

Chicken:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 23 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups (600 ml) milk (whole milk or 2%)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups (150 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water, cook pasta until al dente, drain.
  2. Cook the chicken: Sauté chicken in olive oil until cooked, set aside.
  3. Prepare the garlic Parmesan sauce: Melt butter, sauté garlic, add flour, milk, chicken broth, seasonings, and Parmesan cheese, cook until thickened.
  4. Combine and assemble: Mix pasta and chicken with sauce, transfer to baking dish, top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
