Dumplings
- 1 packet of Buldak HOT Chicken Flavour Ramen
- 6 sheets of rice paper
- 2 slices of Emmental cheese, cut into 6 small pieces
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp oil (for frying)
Dipping Sauce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- Leftover finely chopped spring onions
- Cook the noodles: Prepare the Buldak HOT Chicken Flavor Ramen according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside to cool slightly.
- Soften the rice paper: Pour warm water onto a plate and soak one sheet of rice paper for about 30 seconds until pliable.
- Assemble dumplings: Lay the softened rice paper flat on a clean surface. Place a tablespoon of cooked noodles in the center, then top with one piece of Emmental cheese and some finely chopped spring onions.
- Wrap the dumplings: Carefully fold the rice paper around the filling to form a sealed parcel, ensuring the ingredients are enclosed. Place the wrapped dumplings on a lightly oiled plate to prevent sticking.
- Repeat assembly: Continue the process for all 6 dumplings, reserving some spring onions for the dipping sauce.
- Pan-fry the dumplings: Heat a teaspoon of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the dumplings for 4 minutes on each side until the rice paper turns crispy and golden.
- Prepare dipping sauce: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the reserved spring onions to create a flavorful dipping sauce.
- Serve and enjoy: Plate the fried dumplings alongside the spring onion mayonnaise dipping sauce and enjoy this spicy, cheesy treat immediately.
Notes
- Be gentle when handling the rice paper as it becomes very soft and delicate after soaking.
- You can adjust spiciness by choosing a milder or hotter ramen flavor.
- Use a non-stick pan and medium-high heat to achieve an evenly crispy texture.
- Leftover dumplings can be reheated in a pan but may lose some crispiness.
