Ingredients

Scale

Salmon:

  • 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet

Lemon Butter Mixture:

  • 1 lemon, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely pressed or minced; or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

Garnish:

  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley, optional for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare the Salmon: Place the salmon on a sheet of foil with the skin-side down. Nestle lemon slices underneath the salmon.
  3. Make the Butter Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, then stir in lemon juice, honey, and garlic. Pour most of the mixture over the salmon.
  4. Season and Seal: Season the salmon with salt and pepper. Seal the foil around the salmon to create a packet and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Bake: Place the foil pack on a baking sheet and bake for about 17 minutes.
  6. Broil: Open the foil packet, spoon the reserved butter mixture over the salmon, and broil for 5-10 minutes until golden.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, increase the amount of garlic cloves used.
