Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 3 pieces Chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 34 teaspoons Garlic and herb seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Pasta and Sauce

  • 1 pound Pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce (about 15 oz)

Bread Bowls and Toppings

  • 6 pieces Kaiser rolls or more if needed
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season and Cook Chicken: Season the chicken cubes with garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes until fully cooked and lightly browned. Remove from heat.
  2. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain the pasta well.
  3. Prepare Bread Bowls: Slice the tops off the Kaiser rolls and gently hollow out the centers to create bread bowls without breaking the crust.
  4. Make Garlic Butter and Toast Bowls: Mix melted butter with garlic and herb seasoning. Brush the inside and edges of the hollowed bread bowls with the garlic butter mixture. Place the bowls on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 4-5 minutes until they are lightly toasted and fragrant.
  5. Combine Chicken, Pasta, and Alfredo Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, toss the cooked chicken, drained pasta, and Alfredo sauce until everything is well coated and evenly mixed.
  6. Fill and Top Bread Bowls: Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture into each toasted bread bowl. Sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese on top of each filled bowl.
  7. Bake Filled Bowls: Return the filled bread bowls to the oven and bake at 375°F (190°C) for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the bread becomes crispy.
  8. Serve: Serve the Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Bowls hot, garnished optionally with chopped parsley or red pepper flakes for added flavor and color.

Notes

  • You can use different pasta types such as penne, fettuccine, or rigatoni based on preference.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes in the Alfredo sauce mixture.
  • Make sure not to hollow out the bread bowls too much to prevent leaking of the sauce.
  • Substitute chicken breasts with cooked shredded rotisserie chicken for a time-saving option.
  • Brush tops of the bread slices with garlic butter and toast separately for a crunchy lid.
