Walla’s Dessert Lasagne is a luscious layered treat combining the rich flavors of Lotus Biscoff biscuits and spread with smooth whipped cream infused with vanilla and just a touch of sweetness. This no-bake dessert is simple to assemble and perfect for impressing guests or satisfying a sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuits and Spread

  • Four packets of Lotus Biscoff biscuits (approximately 40 biscuits)
  • One jar (about 400g) of Lotus Biscoff spread

Cream Mixture

  • One carton (300ml) of thickened cream
  • One tablespoon of sugar
  • Dash of vanilla extract (about 1/2 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream: Add the thickened cream to a mixing bowl along with one tablespoon of sugar and a dash of vanilla extract. Whisk the mixture until soft peaks form, which means the cream should be thick, slightly stiff, but still smooth and airy.
  2. Heat Biscoff Spread: Place the Lotus Biscoff spread in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds until it softens, making it easier to drizzle and pipe.
  3. Layer the Biscuits: Line the base of a baking dish with a full layer of Lotus Biscoff biscuits, ensuring good coverage to form the foundation of the dessert.
  4. Add Cream and Spread Layers: Spoon a layer of the whipped cream mixture over the biscuits, smoothing it out evenly. Then, drizzle a generous amount of the melted Biscoff spread on top.
  5. Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process three times — biscuits, cream, and Biscoff spread — finishing with a top layer of cream.
  6. Decorate the Top: Transfer any leftover melted Biscoff spread into a piping bag and pipe thin lines across the top of the final cream layer.
  7. Create Pattern: Using a toothpick or a skewer, drag through the piped lines to create a stylish triangular or zig-zag pattern on the surface.
  8. Add Crumb Edge: Crush any leftover Biscoff biscuits into fine crumbs and sprinkle them around the edge of the dessert for a decorative and textural finish.

Notes

  • This dessert requires no baking and is best served chilled after refrigerating for at least 2 hours to allow layers to set.
  • For a firmer dessert, chill overnight.
  • You can substitute the Lotus Biscoff spread with a caramel or cookie butter spread if desired, but the signature flavor would change.
  • Be careful not to over-whisk the cream to avoid turning it into butter.
  • Use a piping bag with a fine nozzle for more precise decoration with the Biscoff spread.
