Chicken & Seasoning:
- 2 lbs chicken tenders (or thighs/breasts), cut into 3-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1½ tbsp dry ranch seasoning
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
- 8–10 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced
- 1 tbsp dry ranch seasoning
- 1 tsp dried dill
- ½ tsp onion powder
Other:
- Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
- Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine all chicken seasoning ingredients including dry ranch seasoning, dried dill, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add olive oil and chicken pieces, tossing well to coat each piece thoroughly. Thread the seasoned chicken pieces tightly onto the soaked wooden skewers to ensure even cooking.
- Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce: Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan or microwave, then stir in minced garlic. Add grated Parmesan cheese, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, fresh minced parsley, remaining dry ranch seasoning, dried dill, and onion powder. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined. Set aside two-thirds of the sauce for basting after cooking and use the remaining one-third for basting during the cooking process.
- Cook (Air Fryer Method): Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Cook 2-3 skewers at a time for 5 minutes. Flip the skewers and baste with the reserved sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes, flip again, baste once more, and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Finish by brushing the skewers with the reserved garlic butter sauce and sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
- Alternate Oven Method: Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the skewers evenly on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 14 minutes, flipping halfway through and basting the chicken intermittently with the garlic Parmesan butter sauce. At the end of baking, broil the skewers for 2 minutes to add a lightly charred finish. Remove, baste with extra sauce, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese as a final touch.
- Alternate Grill Method: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken skewers for 5-6 minutes per side, basting frequently with the garlic Parmesan butter sauce to keep the meat moist and flavorful. Once cooked through, finish with a generous drizzle of the reserved sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before threading to prevent burning during cooking.
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of tenders for juicier results; adjust cooking time accordingly.
- Adjust hot sauce and red pepper flakes to suit your preferred spice level.
- Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently before use.
