  • 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, or more if needed

Orange Chicken Sauce

  • 2/3 cup 100% orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Optional Toppings

  • fresh orange zest
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Orange Chicken Sauce: Combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and sriracha in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Whisk eggs in a bowl. In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, and salt. Slice chicken and coat each piece in egg wash then flour mixture.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Fry coated chicken in coconut oil until cooked through. Remove from pan.
  4. Thicken the Sauce: In the same pan, combine orange sauce and cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
  5. Combine and Serve: Toss chicken in the sauce, garnish with orange zest and sesame seeds. Serve with grains and veggies.
