  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup half and half
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s hot sauce)
  • ½ teaspoon each: onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, basil, mustard powder, parsley

Pasta

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ½ cups finely chopped broccoli
  • ½ lb. Gemelli pasta
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare Sauce: Combine chicken broth, half and half, bouillon cube, hot sauce, and seasonings in a measuring cup; set aside.
  2. Cook Pasta: Boil water, salt it, then cook pasta until al dente.
  3. Make Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, add the broth mixture slowly, stir in broccoli, and simmer.
  4. Combine: Stir in cheese into the sauce, add cooked pasta, and combine well.
  5. Serve: Let it thicken and absorb sauce, then serve.
