Ingredients

Scale

Salad Base

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped

Beef

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Burger Sauce

  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Veggies

  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 2 large pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat up your skillet over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook the beef, stirring and breaking it apart, until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain Excess Liquid: Remove the skillet from heat and carefully drain off any excess liquid or grease from the cooked beef to keep the dish light and flavorful.
  3. Prepare the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, combine sour cream, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and well blended.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Start with a base layer of chopped romaine lettuce in each bowl. Add a portion of the cooked ground beef over the lettuce. Top with sliced avocado, red onion, pickles, and halved cherry tomatoes for freshness and texture.
  5. Finish with Sauce and Seasoning: Drizzle the prepared burger sauce generously over the assembled bowls. Add an extra sprinkle of salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately for a fresh, hearty meal.
