A classic, savory quiche packed with crispy bacon and a blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses, all baked in a flaky pie crust. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or any meal of the day.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 pie crust, softened as directed on the box

Filling

  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • ⅓ cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the quiche.
  2. Prepare the Pie Crust: Place the softened pie crust into a shallow 9-inch glass pie plate. Double-fold the edges of the crust and crimp them to create a decorative border and seal.
  3. Add Bacon and Cheese: Evenly spread the cooked and crumbled bacon slices at the bottom of the pastry shell. Then, layer the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and grated parmesan cheeses over the bacon.
  4. Mix Eggs and Milk: In a medium bowl, whisk together the 4 slightly beaten eggs, 1 cup milk, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper until thoroughly combined.
  5. Combine and Pour: Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over the bacon and cheese in the pie crust, ensuring the filling is well distributed.
  6. Bake the Quiche: Place the pie plate on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a knife in the center; it should come out clean when the quiche is cooked through.
  7. Cool and Serve: Once baked, allow the quiche to rest for 5 to 10 minutes to set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute half-and-half or heavy cream instead of milk.
  • Make sure the bacon is fully cooked and crumbled before adding to the pie.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or onions for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Let the quiche cool slightly before cutting to avoid a runny texture.
  • Leftovers can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated.
