This Banana Bundt Cake is a moist and flavorful dessert that is perfect for any occasion. Made with ripe bananas and a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg, this cake is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 large bananas)
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 9-10 inch Bundt pan generously.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar and beat until pale and fluffy. Mix in vanilla, then add eggs one at a time.
  4. Add Bananas and Dry Ingredients: Mix in mashed bananas, followed by half of the dry ingredients, sour cream, and the rest of the flour mixture.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into pan, bake for 60-75 minutes until a knife comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then unmold onto a rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor.
  • For a healthier option, use coconut palm sugar instead of regular sugar.
  • The cake tastes even better the next day if allowed to sit overnight.
